Do I need an appointment to come into the clinic?
Yes, we require an appointment for all visits. You can book an appointment online up to 4 hours ahead of the appointment time here: https://drfanning.intakeq.com/booking
If you don’t see an appointment time that works for you, please call 831-854-7471 to see if accommodations can be made.
How long are visits?
Initial visits are 90 minutes. This gives the doctor time to go over your health history and current health conditions, do a physical exam, suggest medications or supplements, and formulate a treatment plan unique to you.
Follow up visits are anywhere from 15-60 minutes long, depending on how much time you or your doctor think that you will need.
Why are visits so long?
An appointment with a Naturopathic Doctor is significantly longer than an appointment with your traditional medical doctor! We strive to find the cause of your health concerns, which can be complicated and multifactorial. We want to get to know you and your lifestyle and work with you to come up with a plan that is unique to you. We often cover many different health systems and concerns in visits and always want to make sure you have the time you need.
Do you do virtual/video visits?
YES! To book a video follow-up, simply go to the booking link (link "booking link" to https://drfanning.intakeq.com/booking) and click "Follow up- Phone/Virtual" then select "Video Follow Up". You will be automatically sent a link to the "Zoom" meeting, where we will meet for the visit.
I can offer new patients virtual consults on a case by case basis. Please book a 15 minute intro session and we can talk about our options.
Do you take my insurance?
No, insurance companies do not contract with Naturopathic Doctors in the state of California. Depending on your out of network benefits, you may be able to get some or all of your visit price reimbursed. We can provide you with a medical receipt (Superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Certain lab tests and imaging can be billed to your insurance, depending on your plan. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to find out if there are stipulations for coverage.
Can I use my FSAs or HSAs to pay for visits/supplements/labs?
Great news! You can use your FSA or HSA for anything in our office including office visit, supplements, or labs.
Are there any additional costs?
The cost of lab testing, supplements, and medications are not included in the visit service price. Dr. Fanning can help you find the services and supplements in your price range, or work with your budget to determine which treatment option is the most important for you. The goal is always to provide you the best service and give you treatment options that work for you, so please talk to your doctor if cost is a concern.
